'I have found staff at Ravenside to be very enthusiastic and keen to follow my advice' - Fiona Coles, Speech and Language Therapist, 2013
At Ravenside Pre-School there are lots of opportunities for outdoor play in the beautiful gardens around the church hall. In good weather we take the children outside with a wide selection of toys and activities. In the summer there are opportunities for learning about plants and flowers and in the winter going for walks and playing in the snow.
The children are encouraged to celebrate different cultures and special occasions are marked such as Chinese New Year, Mothers Day, Easter and Diwali and we always have a special trip to Santa’s grotto at Christmas.
Over the last two years the children have had the opportunity to explore local woods through the Sightlines Initiative, a national charity aiming to promote creative learning in early years education.
Ravenside Pre-School Pets
We have four pet Giant African Land snails called Ninja, Ollie, Pinkie and Mike. We also have caterpillars each summer that the children can watch grow into painted lady buterflies.
